hey! another x-men homage cover that seemed to fit in with the past year's storylines in the

this is one of the first x-men comics i actually purchased way back when it first came out lo those long years ago. it's based on 's cover for Uncanny X-men #268. my daughter looked at this and told me that this didn't look much like the orginal at all. you be the judge. here's a link to the original [link]

it, of course, fit into the Deviant Universe Presents story i wrote and drew with the Retrun of Great-Man part 2. the first part being drawn by the awesome as seen here [link]

cross showed up at the end of the story, but he makes a kick ass stand in for wolverine, eh?

to put the authenciticty that this was the actual cover, i billed pax as "great-man" on the cover. i mean, we all thought that it WAS great-man--until i dropped the bomb on you at the end of the story that he want to be his own seperate character named pax. this seemed to be something that marvel would do in making this cover, so i did it, too.
